The gentle breeze
It touched me so softly
And a song so soft
Carressed me back
To the morning.
The new day has begun
And I step out in the world.
The world outside,
Drenched with rain
And fragrances of heaven.
I stepped in that heaven,
With green beauty in my eyes
And the gentle tickle
Of the drizzle
Is all I remember.
I still want it some more.
The beauty of this new day
Is captured in all my senses.
I open my arms
And welcome the
New morning.
A new morning which
Is so beautiful
As one of the
Best of all mornings
In this new city.
The city to whom
I am a stranger.
The city where
I came with dreams
So beautiful.
But this new morning
Showed me the beauty
Of this new city to me.

ReplyDeleteHey thanks for considering my poems as nice...i jas write watever comes to my mind. Unfortunately i had stopped writing for some time...n lost all my old poems too...i must say that was a good collection of around 50 odd poems...but now i have none of dem wid me :( i repent taking hasty decisions now :)
Thanks to my friends who inspired me to start writing again :)
Kinda the same story here. I used to write poems in college and all. Stopped it for like 3-4 years. If you see my blog the 2 poems are actually copy pasted from my earlier times in college.

It didnt inspire me; it just reinforced what I was already thinking in my head.
So I decided to start writing.
While I am certainly no writer, I am gonna do it cause I enjoy it a lot.
i read that blog....it is definitely good and correct too. Being writer isnt important, what is important is doing what u enjoy! So keep writing and enjoying....I am there to read ur blogs :) and you write well...dont worry...hehehe

Also, you can never write to impress others.. it's a different feeling when you write what you really feel. Probably that's why you and my friends liked the dreams thing.
ReplyDeleteIf the writing comes from within inside you, it comes of as natural and likeable ( well, various degrees of likeable depending upon the person )
If you write to impress, you'll never be able to impress ;)
of course if wat u write is natural, den more people can relate to it. A simple and natural writing anyway appeals more to people coz they can relate to it and understand it too.
